3 Ways To Beat The Heat During Your Summer Move

When moving, it's important to remember that every season has particular considerations. And for summer, heat and humidity is one of them. Here are three ways to stay one step ahead of the sun during your summer move:

#1 Begin early.

The sun's peak hours are typically 11:00am to 3:00pm. Avoid this window whenever possible. To do so, start early. Depending on your timing you may be completely unpacked before noon or you may be ready for a snack and rest break during this peak time.

#2 Hydrate.

Speaking of snacks, be sure to drink a steady flow of water throughout your move. Between the work you are exerting and the heat of the season, your body will likely be losing more water than perhaps you regularly do. Replenish this supply to keep yourself hydrated.

#3 Apply sunscreen.

Protect yourself from the rays by applying sunscreen regularly throughout the day. Start by applying sunscreen 15 minutes before first going outside and then reapply sunscreen every two hours for the duration of your move.
