New Year, New Look: 3 Ways to Redecorate for 2022

As 2022 approaches, perhaps you are ready for a new look, but are not looking to move to a new address. Here are three ways to redecorate or redesign your current home for a fresh start in the new year:

#1 Switch up the shelving.

Maybe you have a bookcase in the study or a display of glassware in the dining room. A simple way to give the rooms in your home a new look is to rearrange the shelving.

The options for this are really endless— Maybe you keep the same items already on that particular shelving unit, but rearrange them in a new way. Maybe you bring in brand-new décor for the shelf. Or, maybe you move décor from other spaces in your home. Be creative and have fun with it.

#2 Try some paint.

Sometimes a simple fresh coat of paint inside a room or maybe on a particular piece of furniture can give a space the décor change you may be craving.

Fresh paint tends to give the space a clean look. A newly painted room, especially a change in color, can transform the style. The change in style can be bold or subtle, depending on what you are looking for.

#3 Find a new statement piece of furniture.

Perhaps you and your family have been sitting on the same couch for years. Or perhaps the same lighting fixture has been lighting the area around your kitchen table since you first moved into your home.

Take a look at the statement pieces of furniture that decorate your home and decide whether or not you want to switch up any of these pieces.

Like a bold new paint color, swapping out (or even rearranging these pieces in new places) the statement furniture in your home can give your space a new look for the new year.
